CAMPAIGN OF SECOND MANASSAS
HERE STONEWALL JACKSON, ON HIS MARCH AROUND POPE'S
ARMY BY WAY OF JEFFERSONTON TO BRISTOE STATION, TURNED NORTH, AUGUST
14, 1862.
Hinsons Ford Road, aka State Route 643, turns north
about a hundred yards to the west, as shown in the background. The
original road, which turned north at this marker, joins Hinsons
Ford Road after about a quarter mile.
